Re: 1st XI
Piss off thats your job !
Our job is to moan and winge at your poor decisions and shit field settings !
1. Chris Easby (yeh ratfans)
2. Si Broughton (lily savage, alright)
3. Banksy (my precious)
4. Smellor (aka Dwaine Laverick)
awe bollocks to this thats enough people abused before the season has already started.
We could do with a list of nicknames though, especially for new teammates as I can't go around calling them tosser now we are in the same club !
and most importantly a piss up ! having been to heighintons do, it was great to speak to some of their lads, but was disappointed with the turnout from our boys. Lets get together and have a bloody good drink - maybe make a proper evening of the xmas bottle draw (friday / sat night ? ) or something in Jan before the serious business of ripping the piss out of each other begins next year !
Just a thought but why don't you ask the lads which team they would like to represent if selected. You may then be able to initially build squads before the winter nets and captains can target players that they don't know enough about to have a good look at.
Its vitally important that bowlers turn up to the nets in the right frame of mind and bowl hard. This will allow skips to get a good idea of who should bat where in the team and every position should be up for grabs depending on performance (that is if we want the league).
Both skips should also be looking for at least 2 pre season frindlies to get everyone a bat or bowl and if possible play strong sides to test our players properly. Now is the time to start making arrangements before clubs commit to others.
any thoughts ?

Bloody hell this forum is like a morgue!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on fellas I would have thought Atomic would have been on here by now with some total tosh.....tee hee.
I agree Goughy, skips job to pick the team!!! More to the point, this piss up seems like a good idea but when?????
Don't know about this business of people choosing their preffered team, shouldn't everyone want to play the best cricket at the highest level they can??? Then we have some competition for places which can only be good for the club.
Don't worry about net bowling m8 it's allways lively, unfortunately there isn't much bounce at greenfield so you won't get much to hook or cut....shame , that means Daws won't be playing any shots at all!!!!
